What does "locking up" mean?

My hair locs within a week or two of twist, braid and finger coils. If I don't detangle within 3 weeks, I'll be on a welcome journey to the loc land.

I am a hypersensitive person as well, however, I would think in order to allow your hands to heal that you would hire a shampoo person and keep your hands out of the water period. As an allergy sufferer I do not for any reason put myself in harm’s way for coins or other’s opinion.

After her last video about twists being bad for your hair or whatever, I had to tell RUclips to stop suggesting her channel. It was just tew murch! And I'm glad I watched this one, because I was confused about her edges and sides being missing, but y'all say she has a medical condition, so I won't give her too much on that. She just doesn't seem like the person to be taking natural hair advice from in general. And why is her mouth so black now??? Is that a medical condition too???

3:35:30 I think the point the girl is making is that white people might criticize our hair for a lot of things, but it's US who look at this little girl and say she's not presentable because her edges aren't laying flat - when that would require her to actually not wear her hair in its natural state. I remember being a little girl whose mom struggled to put all my hair in a nice looking ponytail when not all my hair would stay put cause it wasn't very long. (She didn't know how to do cornrows or flat twists. All I had was ponytails, afro puffs and the unnatural straightening combs and relaxers) She'd use hair grease to brush my edges down nicely; But then I would run around and play in the sun for a few hours and start sweating and then my edges would shrink, curl up and look a lot like that little girl's. If a white person wanted to criticize my hair looking like that then they could go ahead and do so... it was expected. But what hurts is that other black people (particularly black women) will be critical of her hair when the truth is they should sit back and remember that this little girl was them at one point in time. Edit: The only alternative to this for this ad would be her having her hair out in a twa and then them making her look like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals.

Very great job blow drying!!❤❤ I only use a blow dryer and heat if attending formal events! But, because I workout often and sweat, I usually just wear my hair in braids, twist, or Rock-A-Afro with a headband!❤❤❤💯💯🥰🥰
